What did you do in this try? What tool did you use? Was your database restarted after upgradation?
Copy and paste your session.

Michel

Oracle recommendation is to try to set DIRECT_HANDOFF_TTC_<listener_name> ON and OFF in listener.ora and if this does not work then raise a SR following:
Quote:
ora-12518: TNS:listener could not hand off client connection
*Cause: The process of handing off a client connection to another process failed.
*Action: Turn on listener tracing and re-execute the operation. Verify that the listener and database instance are properly configured for direct handoff. If problem persists, call Oracle Support.
*Comment: The problem can be worked around by configuring dispatcher(s) to specifically handle the desired presentation(s), and connecting directly to the dispatcher, bypassing the listener.

Michel

Open your listener.ora file with vi/notepad and insert the line, then restart the listener.

Did you try both values? Did you try restarting the computer?
If neither works then you have to call Oracle support.

You restart between each try.
If this does not work you have to call Oracle support.
I have no other option.

hi

go to the oracle installation folder then
open the folder named (Network)
then open admin folder
you will see the file named (Sqlnet)
open this file you will see the parameter

"SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS)"
change the value from "NTS" To "NONE"

After that configure database again

i hope this will solve your problem.

Your syntax seems wrong.
Please check the one I gave in my previous post.
Confirm this is the syntax you used and the one you posted.

Moreover your SID_LIST does not contain any reference to your instance.

Michel

This often indicates a lack of memory on Windows.

There is no chance of lack of memory because my PC has 512MB of Memory..... Is there any other solution to solve this problem?

So there is a lack of memory.
Oracle can't really work on less than 1GB server.
Win2003 takes 2 or 3 hundreds of MB by itself (and its services).

Michel
