i am not clear about the stripping concept in oracle 10g dba.so can someone please explain me how it works.is it jus about having the datafiles( belonging to the same tablespace) on different disks?and if so then is it necessary to use the storage keyword for specifying the 'minextents' while creating a table( in a localy managed tablespace having datafiles on different disks) in order for the data to be stripped among all the disks?again if it is so then i am confused because oracle overwrites any user specified storage parameters for a locally managed tablespace and its objects,right??please let me know how the extents are place when we create a table in tablespace with datafiles on different disks??
