Hi all,

First time here, so please be gentle Razz

I'm trying to execute the following SQL script (Oracle 10g on Solaris):

CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER pk_histories_trigger
   BEFORE INSERT
   ON histories
   FOR EACH ROW
BEGIN
   SELECT pk_histories.NEXTVAL
   INTO   :NEW.ID
   FROM   DUAL;
END;

However, this gives me the following error message:

[Error Code: 17041, SQL State: null] Missing IN or OUT parameter at index:: 1

I really don't know where to start debugging - any help would be much appreciated.

What tool are you using to create that trigger? A quick Google lead me to this.

Yes, I'm using DbVisualizer! Executing the script using PL/SQL did the trick.

Thanks for the tip. Razz
