Real Application Testing --> Database Replay [message #252617] Thu, 19 July 2007 07:41 Go to next message

I am reading the oracle 11G documents.

In this document it is mentioned as:

It should be noted that since the entire workload is replayed
including DML and SQL queries, it is important that the data in the replay system be identical to that in the production system, whose workload was captured, to enable reliable analysis for reporting purposes.

What i see is that the test environments might not have same volume of data as in production. Will it mean that we need to have same volume of data to use this functionality or it is enough to have sample of data to use this feature.

Thank in advance.
