Hey

I have read that using BUFFER SIZE parameter with exp/imp you can gearup the process..

But the question in mind is how much BUFFER SIZE can i give??

does it effect the database performance?

Can somebody help me please

Might the answer depend upon
OS name & version (which you don't specify)
Oracle version (which you don't specify)
Amount of vailable RAM (which you don't specify)

What prevents you from doing your own benchmarking to answer your own question?

Can you tell me on what basis you see that how much buffer_size can you set .Does it depend on RAM or some other parameters

Is it like that buffer has to be in the range of SOMETHING.
