Hi All,

We are using oracle 9iAS and REDHAT Linux 7.0.1. We have a requirement to call reports from forms. In 9iAS there are two options available for it.

-RUN_REPORT_OBJECT

-WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT

We are using WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT to call reports with parameter DESTYPE=CACHE for opening the report in a previewer and it is working fine.

But if we want to send the report directly to printer it is not working. We have tried using both the options i.e. RUN_REPORT_OBJECT and WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT by supplying the System parameters destype = PRINTER.

Also confirm if we omit the desname parameter, does it take the default network printer installed on the CLIENT workstation.

If anyone has worked on the similar functionality please get back to me with the actual syntax to be used for PRINTING reports through any one of the above options.

Thanks and Regards,
Schhabra
