So IF you don't have access to google, but can access this site, then why the hell didn't you even bother to search THIS site?

It would have given you this for example :

http://www.orafaq.com/forum/m/9305/43055/?srch=mutating+table#msg_9305

Do you really expect each and everyone to remember you as the one that has no access to other sites?
Apart from the fact we already told you to go see your manager about this, it would be handy if you mention it in your original questions.

No i am not expecting any thing else to my answer. I am asking question here I am expecting answer from here. If you don't suggest to search other forum or site then i never mention that I don't have access to other site. i am not able to understand why you guys thinking like that if we can search this forum in google then we can search other answer also in google ..if i search "Mutating table error" in google it will display all the answer which have here as well as all other forum also ...

That is my fault i have to search my answer here before posting my question. I am apologies for same..

Ah, now I get it. Instead of offering links to sites where topics are already explained in detail, you want us to copy that information here. Well, that's what the internet is all about: hyperlinks instead of copying.

That is, because 99% of the people are not behind some illogical firewall like you. It just does not make sense for an Oracle-shop to block oracle.com.

ammishra,

you can check the link below. It is from THIS forum. You say you cannot access many other websites, but that does NOT block you from searching this site:

If you encounter this error then you have a flaw in your design.
Don't use trigger to query/modify the table you are modifing.

Michel,

We have some design flaws too, but...as a humble developer I'm not in a position to change the data model. Wink

I should say: you also have flaw in the development. Wink

A complex modification (one that "needs" a trigger to query and modify objects) should be made inside a procedure and not with the use of a trigger.
Triggers make thing by magic. Procedures clearly show what they do.
T. Kyte should say no modification should be done but in a procedure.

Michel
