I want to write some PL/SQL or some Java stored procedure to insert all files available in a directory to a CLOB column of database table.

I don't want to use HOST and TEXT_IO or unix script.

Can anybody help on this?

Java will help you get the list of datafiles in a directory, search on AskTom for "OS command in PL/SQL".
PL/SQL DBMS_LOB has built-in functions to load these files in a LOB.
