Hi ,

I've installed oracle 9i on suse 9.
I can connect to the database when i use oracle session.
But when i try to connect whith another Linux session i get the the following error:



oraclemydb: error while loading shared libraries: libodm9.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
ERROR:
ORA-12547: TNS:lost contact

I've check that ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_SID and LD_LIBRARY_PATH are correct



Pls help

Are you on 9.2.0.8? If so, you need to run ChangePerm.sh

It sounds like a permission problem rather than an Oracle problem. You need to find out why the libodm9.so library (in OH/lib) cannot read/opened from that user.

I've even exectued chmod 777 on this special so . butsame result

Have you looked at the parent directories as well?
