i have Column value,Based on this value can i findout which filed value this.

Example
My Column value is 'DURAI'(i don't know column name)

I have EMP table (it is having around 100 columns).

Now i want to findout which column value this.


Please advice me.

In short, you say you put your data somewhere but you don't know where. Good lord!

Check all columns in your table.

if i keep searching all the columns for the value it will take more time, Instead i want to know if there is any shortcut for that.

Hm, I think I saw a procedure to search for a given value throughout the database. It was on asktom.oracle.com. And hasn't Barabara Boehmer posted a procedure for that as well?

Perhaps if you search...

Once it's created, it's less characters to type than manually writing all selects...so you could call it a shortcut...I guess...
