I have an application running in my company. What I need to do is when ever someone uses any form to enter information into the system ,a popup window should come up on the right bottom screen saying that a new record has been entered. the same like MSN Messenger when someone comes online a popup window comes up saying the person has come online.... we have a visual basic application that does the same using SQL database. but we want to scrap that and design a new one.

is there a way to do this in forms 6i? if not then what can i do? all help would be appreciated.

You could use a timer and test every 30 seconds to see whether there are any new entries. If there are, then popup you message canvas.
