i want to see the parameter printed from the oracle sql*plus editor.In order to see this what should I use before executing the code.

If I understood you correctly, it is the SET SERVEROUTPUT ON what you are looking for, such as in this example:
SQL> set serveroutput on
SQL>
SQL> declare
  2    l_sum number;
  3  begin
  4    select sum(sal) into l_sum from emp;
  5
  6    dbms_output.put_line('Sum(sal) = ' || to_Char(l_sum));
  7  end;
  8  /
Sum(sal) = 29025

PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

SQL>
