Hi All,

What is the difference between inner join and equi join. I have gone through some threads in this website but still not clear.

Will some one explian with an example.

Thanks for your time

but i am still not clear as, if we say that equijoin will show only those records which meet the join condition.
and inner join will also do the same
for eg

equijoin query

select * from scott.emp e, scott.dept d
where e.deptno = d.deptno

is showing 15 records

and inner join query

SELECT *FROM scott.emp e INNER JOIN scott.dept d ON e.deptno = d.deptno

is also showing 15 records


inner join,natural join , simple join all are same only???

equijoin is inner join with = operator.

"where a.col < b.col" is also an inner join but not an equijoin.

natural join is an inner join where columns in both table have the same name (like in my previous example).
