Hi,
I'm saving doc(word formart)into blob column. Is there any
possible to add some text with that Blob doc data.I tried Using
DBMS_LOB.APPEND but no use. Give me solution

Too bad! This is the way you have to add data to LOB.

How would you add text to a binary file?
If you toy around with the contents of the blob, you will screw up your word-file..

HI,
Thanks for reply. I'm reading that document and saving orcle dirctory. Before reading or after reading i have to append some text(like mail merge) with that doc. If it is possible give me solution.

I already answered you yesterday on the subject in another thread.
If data is binary you can't change it to character without losing these data.
Word document is binary.
So the answer is technically yes, functionally no.
