WHEN WE UPDATE POLICYFROM DATABASE it gives error ora 00001,
we tried to run following command
delete from misctbltmpmedgrpdtls where rowid not in (select min(rowid) from misctbltmpmedgrpdtls group by num_serial,dat_from_date)
/
it gives error ora 00904
pls advise.

And ora 00904 means?
Please always post the complete error message as we don't have to search in manual.
Please always post the real execution: copy and paste your screen (don't forget to format it).
Please always post your Oracle version.

When you had your error, Oracle points to the column where there is the error, so you have your "invalid identifier" which we don't have as you don't post it.

error is ora 00904 invalid column name
