That is not the LMS i was looking for, the LMS im looking for has something to do with locking the data while updating records, i've been through many search engines. i wouldn't post a management question here in sql forum. i need to create a table structure for LMS and that i can do only if i know what is LMS in first place.

It is just an idea, but you might ask the one who told you to create that table.
Why did you suggest that person that you know what (s)he was talking about?
