Hello all-

I have an application server that receives this error 'ORA-12571: TNS:packet writer failure' once every few days while connected to a remote oracle server. Both the app server and the db server are win2k. I have checked to see if there is any network problem but there is nothing that jumps out. Also, the other app server that connects to the database, doesn't get this error.

What could be the problem here?
