Hi,
I installed oracle 9i in my machine on 01-MAR-07. So, the date of creation of database is showing the same as can be seen from the output of the first query (in the attached file,data5.LST). Are not all the system related users created on the creation of the database? So why the CREATED column of the output of the second query is not 01-MAR-07 (i.e the same as the output of the first query). Why is it showing to be 04-SEP-01. I have not yet created any users,

My queries are ( as can be seen in the attached file also) are:

1st Query:

select created from v$database;
Output is: 01-MAR-07

2nd Query:

select username,created from dba_users;

Output is: 04-SEP-01 for all the users.
  • Attachment: data5.LST

I'm not sure about it, but I *think* that 04-SEP-2001 might be release date of your database version.
