Does anyone have any opinions on the Autoextend option for datafiles?

I heard mix reports about this feature. Should I switch it on and let Oracle manage the data file extending, or should I switch it off and manually manage the data files?

It depends upon your application, system & what you are comfortable with.
Both have their pros & cons.
No single answer fits all DBs environments. I use both where I deem each to be appropriate.
