Hi All.
If I need an attendance table to extract no of days attended, at the end of each month. will the following work correctly.. or it needs any modification.

I need your precious ideas..

create table attendance
(
student_id varchar2(7),
date DATE,
flag number(1)
)
/

flag will be used to store either 0 or 1. plz note I have nearly 2000 students..

Couldn't you do without the flag column, (Just insert records that you would flag as present), or can't you tell which days they had to be present afterwards?

I want to count the no of days present. which will be used for later calculation. m I right? I think dropping the flag column would not effect counting too...
