Hi,

I am getting the following errors when I try to compile a package.

SQL> show errors package body web.pkg_util
Errors for PACKAGE BODY WEB.PKG_UTIL:
16604/10 PL/SQL: SQL Statement ignored
16604/26 PL/SQL: ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
16643/10 PL/SQL: SQL Statement ignored
16643/26 PL/SQL: ORA-01031: insufficient privileges

Is there a command that will show me the line content where the error is occurring. I do not have any DBA tools through which I can see the error.

Please advice if there is anyway I can see the objects which I need to grant privileges to using SQL*PLUS.

Thanks in advance.

Download and install free Oracle SQL Developer; it is a GUI tool which will help you locate the error.

You can look into the ALL_SOURCE dictionary view.

select line, text
  from all_source
 where owner = 'WEB'
   and name  = 'PKG_UTIL'
   and line between &line_start and &line_end;

Execute the code above in SQL*Plus (as you dis you show errors comand).

You'll have to either log in as WEB user, have DBA privileges or have SELECT ANY DICTIONARY privilege.
