An existing configuration of 10.1.0.4.0 on RHEL4 seems to be screwed up. I've been able to get dbconsole running by sym-linking a bunch of "missing" files, but I can't get the management console to launch. when I try "emca" (or "emca -r ") it starts with errors:

It then lets me feed in the instance information, and then it crashes:

SEVERE: Database instance unavailable. Fix the error(s) and run EM Configuration Assistant again in standalone mode.
Could not complete the configuration. Refer to the log file for details

The log gives a similar Java error:

Any ideas on what I can try next?

Thanks for your help.
