I am a newbie. So i would like to have a clear understanding databases. About terms like GLOBAL DATABASE, INSTANCES, SCHEMA, SYS and SYSTEM users, DBA.

That's a pretty broad question.

The best place to start is the Concepts Guide
It can be pretty hard going, but as Tom Kyte says - if you can remember 20% of that, then you'll know more than 80% of the oracle developers out there.

Go to tahiti.oracle.com pick necessary version, and explore oracle documentation. A good starting point is concepts guide.
