Not directly.
You will have to say rows=n ( no data exported).
during import use show=y log=somelog.sql (dummy import. Contents are dumped into somelog.sql)
Search the board. Numerous examples.
Much better to use DBMS_METADATA

Mahesh,
When I use exp to export some tables, it gives the below error. I checked the syntax everything appears to be fine.

$exp development/dev file=emp.dmp tables=(emp,dept)
ksh: 0403-057 Syntax error: `(' is not expected.

I am able to specify a single table and it works.

Can you help me in identifying the problem?

Thanks
qA

Try using a parfile instead
USERID=development/dev
FILE=emp.dmp
tables=(emp,
dept)

Thanks,
It worked. Do you think it is something OS specific?
