General Ledger - Parent checkbox cannot be modified in Account Valueset [message #221504]

I set up an 'account' valueset with account numbers. I attach it to an accounting ff definition and create SOb with that FF definition.

Now when I go into the Account valueset to modify the parent child hierarchy, the system does not allow me to decheck the old parent. However, it allows me to check a new account as parent.

Why this discrepancy?
