A client needs to be able to enter into the database molecular formulas that contain subscript characters. For example, the '2' in H20 (water) needs to be stored as a subscript character. Does anybody know the proper syntax to insert subscripts into the database?

I looked to no avail in the Windows Character Map for the ALT-key combination. I did find the proper characters under the Lucida Sans Unicode charset, but unfortunately I can't use Unicode characters.

Please help.

Cheers,
Mendo

In the ASCII table "as is", i.e. the real standard, there's no code available for subscript.

Sorry,

I feared that to be the case. Thanks anyway.
