Hi

I have installed oracle 9i in windows xp . I made few changes to init.ora file but later reverted them.But ,on reboot when i tried to connect to oracle its showing

Not connected to oracle
Shared memory realm does not exists.

How to make oracle startup automatic on reboot of server.

Hi,
start > run > services.msc

check OracleService<sid> and change STARTUP type AUTOMATIC.

some do for listener,dbconsole,isqlplus services.

Hi

Its already set to automatic only.

Still,when i boot my system and try logging in to oracle its showing as

Oracle not available
Shared memory realm does not exists

Pls advice

Hi,

Just follow below procedure.

C:\>SQLPLUS SYS AS SYSDBA
PASSWORD : *****

[B]SQL>STARTUP[/B]
