Hi all,

Now i'm working in 64 bit linux version. how to set 256 bit.

give me cmd.

What are you talking about...

If you have downloaded a 64 bit linux, it's 64 bit !
There's no magic command that changes that.
Also there is nothing like 256 bit computer architecture.

The bellow command i have followd :

oracle@linuxDomain:~/database> ./runInstaller
Starting Oracle Universal Installer...

Checking installer requirements...

Checking operating system version: must be redhat-3, SuSE-9, redhat-4, UnitedLin ux-1.0, asianux-1 or asianux-2
Passed


All installer requirements met.

Checking Temp space: must be greater than 80 MB. Actual 62100 MB Passed
Checking swap space: must be greater than 150 MB. Actual 1027 MB Passed
Checking monitor: must be configured to display at least 256 colors

Some optional pre-requisite checks have failed (see above). Continue? (y/n) [n]
- Make sure that client users are authorized to connect to the X Server.

To test that the DISPLAY environment variable is set correctly, run a X11 based program that comes with the native operating system such as 'xclock':
% <full path to xclock.. see below>
If you are not able to run xclock successfully, please refer to your PC-X Server or OS vendor for further assistance.
Typical path for xclock: /usr/X11R6/bin/xclock

I am use 64 bit colour. How to change 256 bit. ? It's very urgent pls help me.

Now i have use this cmd

$ export DISPLAY=:256

it's working well !!!

Did you understand ?

Please explain why it is urgent for Me to solve this problem for You.
It appears to me that you need to upgrade either your video card or X_Windows software to support higher resolution color density.

Might the solution be Operating System dependent plus X-Windows dependent or client dependent; none of which were posted.

P.S.
This is NOT really an Oracle related problem.

The changes which need to be made do NOT involve any Oracle software; but either hardware or OS related changes.
