Hi All,

I am facing some problem with UTL FILE DIR Parameter.
UTL_FILE_DIR is set to * in the init.ora file.
When I am trying to open a file and write on line and close the file, I am getting either invalid path or unhandled user defined exception error.

With the same kind of parameters, the same program worked fine without any problems.

Anybody's help is highly appreciated as this is very urgent for me.

Pl. do send your replies to yadagiri.gajjela@uktransco.com.

Regards,

what is oracle version and OS?
Make sure you have enough permissions in the directory in which you are writing/reading the file.
