can anybody give me the difference between store procedure and package procedure ? which is the best? why ?

Purely functional, there is no difference between a standalone stored procedure or a PUBLIC packaged procedure. If the packaged procedure is PRIVATE however, i.e. it is not declared in the specification, it can only be used inside the package.

Packages do have advantages over standalone stored procedures, but I'm sure that the search button still works Wink.
