Susan, those two dates are hardcoded in order to meet your requirement. To properly handle the date range that spans years (like 12/15 to 01/15), the year has to be shifted around a bit. Suresh totally designed that query to handle any date parameter and range.

If you could provide a small set of sample data that shows a case that does not work, we can look at it. All the examples I tested with Suresh's query worked correctly.

Again, there is no hardcoding of date ranges in that query.
