It seems that it was different between 10g and 8i/9i for default users' password?I am not sure it.

Really Hope I can get good ideas from all of you.

many thanks ahead.

Hi,
Don't know about 8i,
but In Oracle 9i
Default Password
1.sys ----> change_on_install
2.system --> Manager
3. scott ---> tiger ( a/c status is open)

In Oracle 10g.
We have to give password for "sys" and "system" during installation time and also we can also set others user with sys and system password some or different.
In 10g there is no default password for sys and system user.
even scott user password is tiger but a/c status is "LOCK" you have to unlock scott user.

Taj
