create a csv file from excel sheet
load it into Oracle using sql*loader.

Hi Kumar,

I think you can use the oracle apps interfaces to upload the data from excel sheet to database table.

OP doesn't give the impression to be working on Apps (EBS), but maybe you know something about OP that we don't?

Another suggestion: if it's just for study purposes, you can download and install the latest Oracle Express edition, it comes with Application Express which has a pretty neat user interterface to import data (also CSV format required).
