I'm glad you did. But, this won't help much to anyone with the same problem because you didn't explain HOW you solved it. Would you mind to do so?

Hi,

My apologies if i forget to post the solution. what i did was, i put the menu name under menu module property of the form. then i compiled all the form modules and menu modules using shift + ctrl + k and presto, it worked.

Is this your first form?

Have you defined your 'forms_path'?

Is this your first form?

Do you have the 'test' form in your directory?

In the Forms Builder, select the top level of the form and look at its property sheet. Do you have the 'Menu' attributes populated? Compare them to the 'test' form's attributes.

If you can't find the test form then go to the Oracle Forms website and download one of the tutorial forms and look a it.

Have you looked at http://www.orafaq.com/forum/m/290922/67467/?srch=menu+read#msg_290922

To repeat: you have a form and a menu (neither are called 'form' or 'menu'), they do not have blanks in their names, the directory in which they reside does not have a blank in its name, the directory is in your FORMS60_PATH and was placed AFTER the other entries in the path, none of these entries contains a blank in its name nor are any directories empty. The directory in which these files exist is in the 'Start in' parameter of your 'Forms Builder' short-cut.

You have placed the name of the menu in your form 'X' at the form level. You have opened, compiled, and generated the menu and the form.

Please verify and confirm.

David

Upd: Change 'start-cut' to 'short-cut'.
