Hi frns,

Can we lock any other objects other than a table. My doubt is,can we can lock a package in oracle.

You have a lock on any package that you are currently executing. Other than that, I can't think of a way to gain a lock on a package without executing code to re-create it.

As always - try telling us what you are trying to do, rather than the way you are currently trying to do it.

I thing JRowBottom is right, what is the benefit of locking on packages ? and i don't think it can be possible ,if u get the solution then please post it .
