Hi all,
Sorry I0ve to split my questions...
1-I have a large application using Oracle as a database...loggin in to the database I see no triggers(dba_triggers)...it's ok to create one on my own?
2- I'd like to display a windows message in one of the presentations from a trigger...dbm_output doesn't seem like an answer...I've an script in shell, how can I call it..or there's a better way?...thankx

1) If it's your database, then you can do what you want.

2) Triggers are not really suitable for displaying messages. The only way you would really be able to get something back would be by raising an error using RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR. Assuming the application handled and displayed the error correctly, the user would then see it. This might be OK for something like a logon trigger where you are stopping a user from logging in.
