HI,

I have 5 stored procedures that need to be executed one at time. That is, the first one must finish before the second procedure can be executed. Is there any way to do this by using one master procedure? Any other ideas on how to get this effect?

Thank you.

If the procedures are dependent upon the preceding one finishing successfully, then you could just create a job to execute a single procedure that calls each of the 5 procedures in succession.

What do you mean by a job? Embarassed
Do you mean a .BAT job or something set up in Oracle? I am hoping to execute this from a PC.
I did try setting up a .BAT job but the problem is all 5 procedures are executed all at once!

hi jojoman ,

your idea is corect, you have to make a master procedure which will call all 5 procedures on by one .

By job, I mean creating a job within the database with DBMS_JOB.

Check here for examples.
