Hi,
I have one 10.2.0.2 oracle database on aix5.2 server.
Oracle has spawned an new 'rogue' listener with the exact name as the original. This causes both listener to stop thereby blocking any user access to the database.
The database is still functional and does not incur any problems. Nothing in the alert log or any .trc files generated.
When the new 'rogue' listener is killed at the Operating System level (using kill -9) user access to the database is once again established.
Has anyone experienced any problem with the Listener in 10g?
Any ideas why this may be occurring?

Thanks!!!!!!!!!
