I have use the analyze table tablename estimate statistics
it shows table analyzed but how should i view the report, so that i can choose the correct optimizer.

You don't have to 'choose the correct optimizer', the optimizer will choose the correct path based on the statistics gathered (hopefully).

What report is it that you think you should be looking at, and why do you think you should be looking at it?

Statistics is used by the optimiser for different reasons. If you need even more information look for this book cost based fundamental by Jonathan Lewis. It talks in much more detail what a CBO is, and how it works.

I'd suggest also the 10g Performance Tuning Guide book of the free Oracle Database Documentation.

(heck, possibly even the 11g version, although I haven't read that one just yet).

No more use analyze statement for gathering statistics, use dbms_stats.
