Hi All,

I am trying to backup Oracle 8.0.3 databases using RMAN80.

While connecting to a database using Oracle 8.0.3 RMAN prompt the following message I got.


C:\Documents and Settings\admin>rman80

Recovery Manager: Release 8.0.3.0.0 - Production

RMAN> connect target/
RMAN-00569: ================error message stack follows================
RMAN-00558: error encountered while parsing input commands
RMAN-01006: error signalled during parse
RMAN-02001: unrecognized punctuation symbol "/"


Can anybody help me please.
