Hi

My manager given one with oracle installed and i don't it is client or server,to find out it is client or server


i saw it sqlnet.ora file it is saying "software only"

how to find installation is client or Server

You have not mentioned what type of server it is Unix/Windows.

May be you can check for the binaries/executables under the bin folder.

$ORACLE_HOME/bin

If you are able to find executables/binaries under $ORACLE_HOME/bin
> exp*
> imp*
> oracle*
etc..
