Hi. How can i keep a .doc in my oracle databse? I heard is has something to do with a CLOB variable.. but i have no idea. Any help? thanks

PS: now, while i'm on it, how can i keep ANY file in the database? Razz

If you want to store a .doc file in the database, you should use a BLOB (Binary Large Object). As the name suggest, BLOB's are used for files which are in binary format. If you wish to store a plain text file in the database you can use a CLOB (Character Large Object).

You should read over the documentation for LOBs.
