hi,

I am having a table with 4 million records, it is taking lot of time to respond i am not a dba, can anybody guide me to take the necessary performance to improve the performance.

It is taking more 5 mins to respond for a count query.System configurations are very high

It is very difficult to say anything for provide information.
plz. post your query and check excution plan for query then we will give any suggestion on ur query.
