by using a report service.

We have the Oracle Application server with 4 report services. And we use them to generation online a pdf report that we build in report builder.

But i don't have an option to generate a pdf. Even so, that pdf will be dynamic? i mean, if something in the DB changes, will the information in the pdf also change?

Please be more specific. I'm really noob at this. Embarassed

pdf = static in de sence that if your data in your database changes you need to refresh your pdf report.

When you're useing Oracle report builder then you have the option to generate to a pdf file.

If you want to do this via the web then you need a service that will generate it for you.

I am just a little curious. when you said [COLOR=blue]"pdf = static in de sence that if your data in your database changes you need to refresh your pdf report", do you mean recompiling the report? otherwise what do you mean for refreshing the pdf report? Thanks, frank

You could run a report and save it as a pdf. Put it on a webserver and publish it.

Or you can let our webserver generate the report on demand.

The first one is static, the 2nd not.
