i have database item that is date format and format mask hh24:mi
i want to sysdate on in when the new form instance i wrote this select sysdate from dual ;
but item shows 00:00 can anoybody help me

Hi,
Change the Data Type of your database column to Datetime instead of Date in forms. It should work this way.

Put the code into the When-New-Form-Instance trigger. Please read the 'Pre-Form' entry in the documentation for reasons why you shouldn't do this type of operation in that trigger.

I think you had better post the code that you have in your WNFI trigger. By the way, have you defined a 'default value' for this field in its property sheet?
