Is there a limit on the length on the query that i can pass to a cursor!

we are not able to pass a clob to cursor so we are passing the query as concatenatied stings.

any inputs are welcome Pls

Dont know about any limit....but the "thing" you are trying to accomplish seems strange too me.

Some more input perhaps ? Code etc..

Also you should know that...

Restrictions on LOBs

* Cannot be a part of a clustered table.
* Cannot be used in the following part of a SQL statement:
o GROUP BY
o ORDER BY
o SELECT DISTINCT
o joins
o aggregate functions
* Cannot be analyzed using the ANALYZE command.
* Cannot be included in a partiioned index-organized table.
* Cannot use them in VARRAYs.
* Cannot use NCLOBs as object attributes.
