help me on Action Plan Docs for Upgradiation from 8i,9i to 10g [message #197334]

Hi Everybody

My Client have Oracle 8i and 9i Installations, now they want Upgrade Oracle 10g,for that they asked me to prepare Action plan Docs.
I don't have any format and basically I don't have knowledge how to prepare such documents

I visited site http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14238/intro.htm#i1008362

but in that site information is available but there is no format

Can some body he me step wise docs preparation

Do you really expect a tailored 'action plan document' for your environment already available elsewhere?
All you need, is in the documentation you posted.
I beleive, Action plan document is just a document that shows what you are going to do.
The upgrade documents clearly puts all the steps,pre-requisites,post installtion steps,preinstallatin steps, possible caveats etc.

Hi Mahesh

I need Only Action Plan Doc's

1.Prepare to upgrade.

2.Test the upgrade process.

3.Test the upgraded test database.

4.Prepare and preserve the production database.

5.Upgrade the production database.

6.Tune and adjust the new Oracle10g production database.

for eaxmple iam going to do the above action,but that is enoough
I have to defined each every step technically,By reading that other can easy able to do that upgradation

that is the Requirments

6- needs skills and is tailored requirement.
