Hi,
Why 'exec DBMS_STATS.GATHER_TABLE_STATS(OWNNAME=> 'NIKU', TABNAME => 'TEMP_TAB' ,estimate_percent => 100, CASCADE => TRUE);' is not working?
Comes back with ORA-00904 & ORA-06512 errors?

Thanks

What database version do you use? Perhaps it is a bug which was corrected in later Oracle versions?

Read this Ask Tom discussion; search for "ORA-00904" (dbms stats failure January 11, 2005 by Rob H.).

Generally, Tom Kyte says that DBMS_STATS runs SQL, and ORA-00904 is raised from SQL. In order to find what might be wrong, he suggests to enable tracing and analyze it using TKPROF.
