Hi,

Can anyone help me with an answer for my question?

I have statspack report from Oracle. I have SQL*NET message from client which has the following

Event Waits Timeouts Time (s) (ms) /txn
---------------------------- ------------ ---------- ---------- ------ --------
SQL*Net message from client 325,226 0 2,016 6 25.7
SQL*Net more data from clien 14,966 0 2 0 1.2
SQL*Net message to client 325,230 0 0 0 25.7
-------------------------------------------------------------

It shows the Total Wait as 2,016. Does it mean the client is not able to give information or would it be the network?

Thanks
Mutu

Not to worry about. It is essentially an idle wait.

It could be a matter of the server waiting for you to type a query in SQL*PLus.
