Reason i need a built in package to execute direct in oracle
You probably clicked wrong but for the record: don't report messages to get attention. As for DML: it is possible to perform regular DML statements directly in Forms. The name of the package FORMS_DDL should have given you a clue about its purpose Wink

Wait a second ... am I reading this wrong?

You use Forms Developer (do you?) and would like to run two UPDATE statements. Right?

Why would you need FORMS_DDL? Your statements are DML (Data Manipulation Language), not DDL (Data Definition Language) ones.

If so, put them into a trigger (or a procedure) and execute it somehow (using the WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger, WHEN-NEW-FORMS-INSTANCE, etc. - choose one of the many possible).
